In this commemorable first episode of KAJI100!, Okamoto Nobuhiko joins Kaji Yuki as the first guest in challenging Performance Calligraphy! Using a calligraphy brush approximately 10 kg and 10 metres long, they write the title of the program – KAJI100!, on a large piece of paper. The episode includes other mini-corners: The 10 things Okamoto Nobuhiko wants to do; Challenging Guinness; The 100 menus Kaji Yuki wants to eat; The 100 things you want to ask Kaji Yuki.

Translator Notes

13:50 oboro: this word in Japanese, according to my Jap-Eng dictionary, actually means haziness, gloom, dreaminess. But I chose to translate it as obscure because it’s a running joke throughout the episode (so I wanted a short word), that needs to sound chuuni-esque (13:59), but at the same time not “gloomy” (reference to 15:01), also it needs to explain why Okamoto wrote it that way at 16:38. Hope that didn’t cause much confusion!

  1. This show is really special and different from other programs I’ve seen starring seiyuu. Maybe because it’s kaji-san’s show 😁 there’s someone so pure about it. Thank you once again for allowing us to appreciate it.

  2. Ahhh thank you for your hard work! Subbing such long hours of these episodes… I really thank you! (I keep saying the same thing sorry haha). Seeing that 10-year old photo, Kaji-san has really changed styles. Although why does Noburin not seem to age? Lol what a very precious pilot episode uwu
