In this episode, Murase Ayumu joins Kaji Yuki in learning table tennis from Sakamoto Ryuusuke, an ex-table tennis player who represented Japan in the past! The two visit the classroom in which Sakamoto-sensei coaches. Though they first start out as as total amateurs that left even sensei dumbfounded, watch to find out how they improve by the end of the episode! The episode includes other mini-corners: The 10 things Murase Ayumu wants to do; Challenging World Records; The 100 things you want to ask Kaji Yuki.
▼ Translator Notes
4:43 …looks like a Bunbuku Chagama: Here, Ayumu refers to Kaji’s favourite dish, Dobin Mushi, to a Japanese folktale creature. Search up an image of “Bunbuku Chagama” if you wish to know why he made that reference.
You will notice that in the episode, Kaji and Ayumu will repeat “Sa!” relatively often, it is meant to be an imitation of the table tennis player, Fukuhara Ai. It’s cool how one of the soundtracks used throughout the episode (such as at 13:31) sings “Sa!” too. Makes me wonder if Kaji100 actually makes original bgms for each episode lol
Name mention(s):
- Kobayashi Yuusuke (in opening talk)
- Golden Bomber (Japanese rock band)
- Man with a mission (Japanese rock band)
- Fukuhara Ai (Japanese table tennis player)
- Harimoto Tomokazu (Japanese table tennis player)
Kaji-san is super cute when hes all embarrassed having to ask how they did after their first try, and then when he looks at the camera and said “I’ll do my best” adorable. Gotta love the whole shoujo janai / babaa janai running joke through the whole episode too. Though I wonder how it spread to Murase and Kaji since I thought it was more a Wing thing. Really enjoyed the “Challenging World Records” this time too, their interaction was just fun to watch.

Ayu’s the “second generation baba.” It’s been quite some time since he’s been acknowledged “officially” as Wing’s successor 😂

I’m glad that this got subbed. Actually, i never thought that it’d get subtitles. But after seeing one of my favorite seiyuu, Murase Ayumu, I laughed like an idiot. This was so fun to watch. I want to thank the Raku Fansubs for having non-japanese the chance to watch this.
